Chelsea Lack Leadership_ Rio Ferdinand
The Blues were soundly beaten by Porto in the Champions League on Tuesday, with John Terry and Eden Hazard benched, and the former defender has hit out at Jose Mourinho's side
Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand believes Chelsea's lack of leadership and composure is proving detrimental to their chances of winning silverware this season.
Chelsea crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Porto in Group G of the Champions League on Tuesday as their season went from bad to worse.
The defending Premier League champions have only won two of their opening seven domestic matches to languish in 14th position this season - eight points adrift of leaders Manchester United.
And Ferdinand slammed the current crop of Chelsea players following Tuesday's loss in Porto, telling BT Sport: "There was no composure, no real leadership out there.
"You look back on past Mourinho and Chelsea sides. You had [Didier] Drogba [now at Montreal Impact], [John] Terry and [Frank] Lampard [now at New York City] who other players could look to, and they would turn around and say, Listen I've been here before, don't worry, follow me, we'll be all right and get through this and weather the storm.'
"I didn't see that tonight. I didn't see players who would stand up and be counted in that way. I think they have a lot of work now to get out this group."
Chelsea captain John Terry was benched at the Estadio do Dragao, having also been a substitute in a 2-2 draw with Newcastle United, and against Arsenal the week before.
Reigning Premier League Player of the Year Eden Hazard was also left on the bench as Mourinho was haunted by his former club in Portugal, and Ferdinand hit out at the Portuguese's team selection.
Ferdinand added: "John Terry has been an integral part of this Chelsea side for over 12 years. It's not just one person who can change this team. There is an intensity that I just don't see in this Chelsea team.
"It's been part of their make-up for many years and to win big games abroad you have to come into them with the right frame of mind.
"Seeing Hazard and Terry on the bench is destabilising for this squad. They are looking around for inspiration and are not seeing it from anyone at the moment.
"There's a lack of confidence and communication and they are going to have to really tighten up to pick up this season."
‘Ambode Has Reduced Poverty In Lagos State’
A Lagos-based group, Asiwaju National Forum, says the state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, has been able to reduce poverty in Lagos State in just three months.
The group, therefore, lauded Ambode’s style of governance which has given more power to the civil servants in the state.
The coordinator of the group, Seyi Bamigbade, said this in a statement, on Monday.
He said through the revival of dilapidated infrastructure in Lagos, Ambode had moved Lagos closer to attaining the Lagos Vision 2020.
The Lagos Vision 2020 a 10-year development plan which is aimed at rapid social and infrastructural development, provision of employment and poverty reduction.
According to the coordinator of the group, Seyi Bamigbade, it important for Lagosians to continue to keep faith with the man who is already fulfilling his campaign promises.
He said Ambode’s approach to governance in relation to the civil service is better than that of his predecessor, Babatunde Fashola.
He added, “Ambode’s style of governance is significantly different from his predecessor’s because unlike Fashola, Ambode allows heads of agencies to take initiatives and react to issues as professionals. He is also engaging the civil service more than what we saw in the administration of the former governor.”
“He has also demonstrated his commitment to the development plan of the state anchored on social development and security, infrastructural and economic development as well as sustainable environment.”
Buhari likes Fulani herdsmen – Fani-Kayode
A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, says President Muhammadu Buhari, who is a Fulani man, is sympathetic towards Fulani herdsmen.
The former minister said this in a Facebook post titled, ‘Herdsmen from hell’ while reacting to the abduction of a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Chief Olu Falae, by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
Fani-Kayode said Buhari had in the past referred to Fulani herdsmen as ‘my people’. He, therefore, argued that he was not surprised that Fulani herdsmen were hardly arrested despite their many acts of violence.
He said, “In the last few years the Fulani herdsmen have attacked, ravaged and pillaged many rural communities south of the River Niger and they have slaughtered and raped thousands of innocent people in the South-South, the South-East and the South-West.
“We recall how, after a violent clash between them and some Yoruba farmers in Oyo State in 2000, General Buhari (as he then was) led a strong delegation of northern leaders to see the late Governor of Oyo State, Lam Adeshina. On arrival, Buhari put the question to him: ‘Why are your people killing my people?’ This was a classic case of a Freudian slip.
“The Bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The general had spoken his mind. Governor Adeshina was shocked with disbelief and he responded by telling Buhari that he was rather surprised that a former Head of State would refer to one ethnic group as his people while referring to another as someone else’s.”
Fani-Kayode, who was the spokesperson for former President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign organisation, said Buhari had never shown concern for the plight of the people of the South.
He said this was why it took Buhari 48 hours to react to Falae’s kidnap.
Fani-Kayode said it was possible that Buhari knew those behind the abduction Falae because the herdsmen released Falae 24 hours after the presidency condemned the abduction. He noted that no one had since been arrested for Falae’s kidnap.
He added, “Another curious twist to the tale is the fact that it took the Buhari administration two days to make any formal announcement on Falae’s abduction and just the day after they (Presidency) finally did so, the elder statesman was suddenly released.
“The question is this: who is pulling the strings from behind the scenes and who is attempting to test our resolve and test the waters?”
The Peoples Democratic Party chieftain said Falae’s claim that the Fulani herdsmen had links with Boko Haram should not be ignored.
He said the Fulani herdsmen were a security threat and could easily cause crisis in the South-West having populated the entire region under the guise of selling cattle.
President Buhari Appoints His Self As Petroleum Minister
President Buhari while addressing some select reporters in New York on Tuesday, after addressing a Global Leaders’ Summit on Countering ISIL and Violent Extremism, he will remain the Minister of Petroleum.
He said the step is being taken as part of efforts to sanitise Nigeria’s oil industry which is said to be plagued by corruption, massive fraud, and crude oil theft.
He said:
“I will remain Minister of Petroleum.
“I will appoint a minister of State for Petroleum”.
Buhari restated his determination to sanitise Nigeria’s oil industry and free it from corruption and create more transparency.
He said that his first step in sanitizing the petroleum sector has already begun with the appointment of a new management for the NNPC and said that the prosecution of those who misappropriated NNPC’s funds is already in the works.
Buhari, who took office at the end of May promising to fight corruption, has made it clear he wants to overhaul the oil sector in Africa’s biggest economy, which provides the government with about 70% of its revenue.

When thier husband left for shop this morning, another round of fight began and this time it was different. we heard screaming and then a huge thud and then wailing and crying ensured
I rushed to the verandah and discovered to my dismay that the women fell from their 3rd floor flat and both of the shattered many bones in their bodies. Both couldnt stand but i suspect that the other may have broken her spinal cord because she couldnt move a limb and her head was severely bashed and she was bleeding heavily. A female student in Kenya has revealed that she has infected a total of 324 men with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).
The HIV positive girl, who attends the Kabarak University in Nakuru, is said to have been infected by a man at a party.
The unnamed 19-year old is allegedly aiming to infect a total of 2000 men in revenge.

Leo Messi out for seven to eight weeks Confirmed By Barcelona
The tests carried out confirm that Leo Messi has suffered a tear in the medial collateral ligament of his left knee. He will be out for around six to eight weeks according to a statement from the Club’s Medical Staff. Finally!!! The Pope Agrees With Muslims That “Jesus Did Not Die At The Cross”
See, when it comes to the bible, it is so consistent with the truth that there really is no room for confusion. Actually God is a God of order and one would expect to find nothing but consistency and order in His words.
The Pope in an address in New York said that “humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.“.
“I would like to express two sentiments for my Muslim brothers and sisters: Firstly, my greetings as they celebrate the feast of sacrifice. I would have wished my greeting to be warmer. My sentiments of closeness, my sentiments of closeness in the face of tragedy. The tragedy that they suffered in Mecca.”
“The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”
Let that sink in.
So first the Pope identifies himself with “my Muslim Brothers and Sisters”. Now, don’t get me wrong, but I love muslims. I have Muslim brothers and sisters and friends. But in faith are Muslims our brothers and sisters?
“The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray” (12:26). We should stay away from foolish people (13:20, 14:7), from people who lose their temper easily (22:24), and from the rebellious (24:21).
Although these close relationships are not recommended, it does not mean we turn our noses up and ignore unbelievers, either. Second Timothy 2:24-26 tells us that as servants of the Lord, we are to be kind to and not quarrel with anyone. We should gently teach those who oppose the truth, and be patient with difficult people. Matthew 5:16 tells us, “Let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly father.” We should serve unbelievers so that they may see God through us and turn to Him in praise. James 5:16 says that there is great power in the prayer of a righteous person, so bring your concerns for unbelievers before God, and He will listen.
What does the Koran say about Non-Muslims?
(9:5) And when the forbidden months have passed, kill the idolaters wherever you find them and take themprisoners, and beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them at every place of ambush. But if they repent and observe Prayer and pay the Zakat, then leave their way free. Surely, Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

It is not for any Prophet to have captives until he has made slaughter in the land. – 8:67
Fight those who believe neither in God nor the Last Day, nor what has been forbidden by God and his messenger(Mohammed), nor acknowledge the religion of Truth(Islam), even if they are People of the Book (Christians), until they pay the tribute and have been humbled. – 9:29 (another source: ) The unbelievers are impure and their abode is hell. (another source: ) Humiliate the non-Muslims to such an extent that they surrender and pay tribute.
Are Christians infidels? YES TO MUSLIMS. Anyone that does not profess the Shahada is an idolater (worships another God that is nor Allah).
So from the scratch of it, Christianity and Islam are the stack opposites and both hold relationships with non-believers at ‘arms length’. For Christians, it is either to preach to the unbeliever or stay clear lest their influence compromises your faith. For the Muslims, well it says kill! (And the results, every 5 Minutes A Christian is Killed )
But how does the Pope then a man that professes Christianity call a Muslim his brother?
Well maybe because deep down, Islam and Catholicism are one? How?
Well for one, Muslims believe God cannot die.
“And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah’s messenger –they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain”. S. 4:157
The closest Muslims come to the cross is admitting someone else was crucified or ‘it appeared to the people present’ that they crucified someone.
Now the Pope in His statement has said that ‘humanly speaking” Jesus died.
The common denominator in Islam and Catholicism is that “someone HUMAN” called Jesus died, but God did not die. (According to Islam God cannot die and now according to the pope just the ‘human’ Jesus died, not the “Jesus-Jesus”).
Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22
So the Pope can justifiably call Muslims his Brothers and Sisters in faith. And which faith is that? Well the faith of the Devil.
Only Satan would choose to convince you to believe Jesus Christ did not die at the cross. Why? Because it is by the death of Christ at the cross that completes our salvation.

Lagos records new bird flu cases
Bird flu case arises again, Lagos State
records new bird flu cases with an estimated
60,000 birds already affected, the News
Agency of Nigeria reports amid mounting
fears and panic.
Mr. Olugbenga Ogunsetan,the Executive
Secretary of the Poultry Association of
Nigeria, Lagos State chapter,confirmed the
incident yesterday in lagos state.
He unveil several poultry farms that were
affected by the avian influenza in Ikorodu
area of the state.
It was in Lagos records new bird flu cases
that over 60,000 birds were lost in August
after the avian influenza ravaged the
farms.
This case affected the poultry production
products and forced the price hike in the
area,” Ogunsetan said.
The state government assured the
arrangement of compensation with the
federal government to the affected poultry
farms.
Dr. Olajide Basorun,the Permanent
Secretary of the state Ministry of
Agriculture who spoke on the
compensation move, corroborated the
severity claim by the PAN scribe.
He pointed that the case of compensating
affected farmer will encourage other
farmer to report such case forward.
The state government in collaboration with
the federal government is seriously
working towards the compensation of the
affected farmers by the scourge.
“Many economies have shut down because
of this avian influenza and these economies
have dependents, which mean a lot of
people have lost their livelihoods.
“Government is mindful of that and is
working out modalities to compensate the
farmers so that others, who have the flu
and have not reported or are under
reporting, will be encouraged to come
forward,” he said.
The permanent secretary said government
does not want a scenario were the farmers,
who do not report, will sell their birds to
unsuspecting public.
He said where there was a reported case,
the ministry had moved swiftly to conduct
tests and depopulate such farm.
